Palestine – “No for Hooliganism” Initiative launch in Gaza

An Exhibition game was played at the (Palestine Stadium) in Gaza City, which brought together the Al-Ahly (Egyptian FC) fans and supporters of versus Zamalek (Egyptian FC) fans and supporters in an initiative of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports aiming of rejecting violence and Hooliganism among football supporters, and emphasizing the depth of relationship between the two Palestinian and Egyptian peoples and the other Arab football clubs.

 

The event comes to emphasize the interest of Palestinian people in watching and supporting of Arab and international football clubs, and this event was not the first of its kind, as an exhibition match was held in the past that brought together fans of the Spanish football clubs Real Madrid and Barcelona.

The participants confirmed the importance of establishing such initiatives in order to renounce violence and enjoy football away from Hooliganism, emphasizing their great desire in lifting the siege on Gaza Strip, and to hold many friendly matches between the Palestinian side and the rest of the brotherly Arab countries.
