The owner of the store, where George Floyd was last located in Minneapolis, revealed that it was one of the store’s employees who called the police after discovering that Floyd was trying to pass a $20 bill that appeared to be forged.Mahmoud Abu Mayala, an American of Arab origin, said Floyd showed no resistance when the police arrived in the area and was cooperating with the security forces, but they forced him to sit on the ground before a security man sat on his neck, he noted that the incident, which sparked protests, was the cause of threats by some of Floyd’s relatives and friends.
