Gaza-Palestine 23/04/2019
The National Commission for Return and Siege Breaking Marches staged a sit-in this afternoon outside the UNESCO headquarters in the Gaza Strip, with the aim of emphasizing that the return marches will continue to be peaceful. Mahmoud Khalaf, Member of the National Commission for Return and Siege Breaking Marches, states that the commission is committed to its purpose through popular resistance and maritime mobility, and he pointed out that the time has come to break the silence and take serious actions to stop Israel from practicing its repressive acts against the Palestinian people, which violate the international human rights law. He added that the report issued by the UN Human Rights Council held the Israeli occupation responsible for all the field executions they are carrying out, and described these executions as war crimes, so the United Nations must take action and put these decisions into effect. Khalaf also appealed to the mediators to pressure Israel into committing to what has been agreed upon. He also called upon Arab foreign ministers to take serious decisions to reject the deal of the century and stop some Arab regimes from normalizing the occupation.
