Libya – Citizens of Tripoli celebrate the National Day of Traditional Dress

The celebration of the National Day of Traditional Dress started yesterday in Tripoli with the organization of Al Miaad Culture and Arts Society. The event was participated in by many citizens and residents of Tripoli who wore the Libyan traditional dress consisting of Farashiyya, Jard, Badlah Arabiya and other traditional outfits in order to celebrate this day and introduce to new generations the Libyan traditional dress worn by their ancestors. The event included performances by folklore bands that accompanied the participants who took off from Martyrs’ Square in city center, passing through Algeria Square towards the palace of late king Idris Snousi.
