Libya- Soaring Prices are Exacerbating Libyans’ Agony in Ramadan


In light of Coronavirus’s disastrous repercussions and a lower purchasing power, Tripoli markets are witnessing unprecedented stagnation. This was exacerbated with soaring prices that exceeded a 100% surge, and a liquidity crisis, not to mention that the government failed to address the dilemma. For years, high prices have accompanied Ramadan holy month. Libyans’ agony wasn’t confined to the dilemma of the soaring price, but to the power outages and issues in the telecommunication network
