USA – Syrian Democratic Council: US forces withdrawal from Euphrates will leave a big void

Bassam Ishak, representative of the Syrian Democratic Council confirmed that an unplanned and abrupt withdrawal of US forces from Euphrates will leave a big void and pave the way for many parties to take advantage and enter the region including Iranian and Turkish forces. This was during a press conference held in Hudson Institute Political Studies in capital Washington to discuss the situation in the Middle East in general and Syria in particular after defeating ISIS and announcing the American president’s decision to decrease the number of US forces in Syria.
