Iraq – Security experts: It is a big mistake to guard the borders with Syria with ground forces only

Security officials stated that it is a big mistake to completely depend on human resources in guarding the borders with Syria and preventing ISIS members from getting in, because of the areas’ difficult lay of land, adding that it is important to take advantage of the air force, which in turn makes it easier for the ground forces. This comes after having deployed the Iraqi army, border guards and the popular mobilization forces to protect the borders from infiltration by members of ISIS, which is now fighting a fierce war against the Syrian Democratic forces in Deir al-Zour.
