Warsaw – Poland 14/02/2019
Nathan Tek, the regional spokesperson for the US State Department, spoke at the close of the Warsaw Conference on Peace and Security in the Middle East, and stressed the need for all relevant parties to cooperate in the face of Iran’s threats, adding that the world oil markets will not be impacted by the US sanctions on Tehran. For his part, Brian Hook, the US special representative for Iran, pointed out to the increased cooperation between the Arab countries and Israel to address the common threat of Iranian aggression, which will help bring stability to the Middle East and enhance the peace process. The Yemeni Foreign Minister Khaled al-Yamani said that the conference addressed the challenges experienced by the Middle East, including the threats of Iran’s expansionist policy, and its support of terrorist gangs and militias by arming them with ballistic missiles and advanced technologies, which is considered a violation of international law.
