Palestine – Opening the first football academy in the world for cancer patients

On World cancer Day, the Champions Academy opened its stadiums for cancer patients in western Gaza, which is considered the first football academy in the world for cancer patients. The chairman of the board of Champions Academy Rajab Al-Sarraj explained that the purpose of opening the academy is to help in the recovery of these children, enhance their immunity and improve their psychological condition. In order to achieve this purpose, the academy is in cooperation with oncologists to design a training program that suits the health condition of all participants. The academy includes a football stadium, gymnasium, cafeteria, in addition to a basketball stadium, table tennis, tennis and a swimming pool that will be ready for use later on according to those in charge of it.
