A number of political analysts and Parliament members praised the Iraqi Prime Minister, Adel Abdul Mahdi’s decision to restructure the Supreme Anti-Corruption Council and follow up on its corruption cases and hold corrupts accountable. To achieve that, all the state’s monitoring bodies must be involved in the process. A few days ago, Abdul Mahdi supervised the first meeting of the Council, which was restructured as part of a comprehensive plan to take preventive procedures and combine the monitoring bodies’ efforts to establish a new strategy that is capable of facing any party or person regardless of their position. The restructuring will also enable the state to detect any acts of corruption and protect the society, the citizens and public money
