Iraq – Analysts support Abdul Mahdi’s decision to restructure the Supreme Anti-Corruption Council

A number of political analysts and Parliament members praised the Iraqi Prime Minister, Adel Abdul Mahdi’s decision to restructure the Supreme Anti-Corruption Council and follow up on its corruption cases and hold corrupts accountable. To achieve that, all the state’s monitoring bodies must be involved in the process. A few days ago, Abdul Mahdi supervised the first meeting of the Council, which was restructured as part of a comprehensive plan to take preventive procedures and combine the monitoring bodies’ efforts to establish a new strategy that is capable of facing any party or person regardless of their position.
