Libya – A fire broke out in the vicinity of the US embassy in Tripoli following renewed armed clashes

A fire broke out in the vicinity of the old headquarters of the American embassy in the Libyan capital of Tripoli, as a result of the renewed clashes and exchange of fire between the seventh brigade on the one hand and the battalion of Tripoli revolutionaries and the central support Bouslim, (Ghniwa Battalion) on the other hand. The old headquarters of the embassy is located in Sidi Salim area, which is in the middle of the clashes site between the two battalions. For its part, the US embassy confirmed in a tweet through its Twitter account that the buildings of its complex in the Libyan capital Tripoli were not affected by the fire that broke out in a fuel tank located in its vicinity.
