Syria – Raqqa residents use boats to travel between the two sides of the city
Raqqa – Syria 25/4/208
The Old Raqqa bridge on the Euphrates River is of great importance to the people of the city of Raqqa as it links the old city to the new city. The bridge was destroyed due to clashes with ISIS organization leading to difficulty of transporting the people and their goods between the two parts of the city and their dependence on boats to cross to the other side after city liberation. This matter contributed to the development of a study for rehabilitation if necessary support from donors is absent in order to alleviate the suffering of citizens.
