Iraq – The election conference of the Iraqi Journalists Syndicate begins

The election conference of the Iraqi Journalists Syndicate was launched on Monday morning at the headquarters of the Iraqi Journalists Union in the Iraqi capital Baghdad in its twenty-first session with Arab and international presence, where 69 journalists compete in the election for the post of captain and for the membership of the Council of the Bar. It is noteworthy that the article 15 of the Syndicate of Journalists Law No. 187 of year 1969 stipulates that the candidate for the post of captain shall have spent ten years and more in practicing journalism and the Vice-President must have not less than seven years of experience.
