Palestine – A heritage market built from clay in Gaza
Gaza – Palestine 24/3/2018
Dozens of workers continue to build the first clay market to resemble the old Palestinian architecture in the town of Shoka in the southern Gaza Strip town of Rafah, using environmentally friendly clay and red brick materials at low cost with thermal insulation to provide a suitable environment in summer and winter. The market, which will replace the one destroyed by Israel’s shelling during the war on Gaza in 2014, includes 20 conventional shops covering an area of 900 square meters.
