USA – Press conference on the sufferings of Rohingyas

Representatives of the Rohingyas held a press conference at the National Press Center in Washington DC to explain the suffering of the Rohingya Muslims who have been subjected to ethnic cleansing for more than 40 years varying between killing and displacement. The conference included appeals to the international community and the US government for immediate intervention in imposing full sanctions on the Burmese government, to redress the exiled Rohingyas by giving them the opportunity to return home with their full rights as part of the Burmese people
