Tunisia – Opinion polls show that 83% of Tunisians refuse to participate in the elections

The latest polls show that 83% of Tunisians refuse to participate in the upcoming elections, including the municipal and legislative elections. The reason behind their reluctance to participate in the elections is their lack of confidence in the country’s political elite, some of whom believe that it have not fulfilled their electoral promises in light of rising unemployment, poverty, marginalization and crime rates, in addition to the suffocating economic crisis the country
