The manufacture of olive wood is one of the oldest traditional industries in Tunisia and has been a source of making utensils, antiques and many other equipment. The manufacture and conversion of olive wood to handicrafts in Sidi Bouzid province has developed rapidly in recent years and is considered as an important crafts with products exported to many international markets, especially European markets.
