Soundbite (Ahmad Mushatahi – Citizen):

“We feel joy during Eid al-Fitr despite the siege and hardships in Gaza. We hope this Eid to be the last under siege, to be free during Eid in the coming years and be able to freely move between north and south of the country. We hope to reunite with our families and for Palestinian displaced people to return to their homes.”

Soundbite (Mohammad Al-Dayeh – Citizen):

“This Eid is special and unlike previous ones where we mourned those killed, visited those injured in hospitals, dug graves to bury our dead loved ones.
