(SOUNDBITE) Jabbar Ibrahim – Taxi driver:
“We taxi drivers in Sulaymaniyah, depend on petrol to make our living. We do not have a regular income, and our houses are rented. We demand the regional government to reduce the price of fuel to 450 dinars per liter, similar to the governorate of Kirkuk.”
(SOUNDBITE) Bakhtiar Hama Amin – Taxi driver:
“We demand a reduction in the prices of petrol because it hit 1200 dinars per liter which is very high. Our work cannot bear that. Not only we taxi drivers were affected by the rise, the rest of the people were affected too, and they also reject this rise. We all reject this huge rise.”
