Tunisia – Tunisia hosts a complimentary music therapy workshop for children with cancer

The Sallima Association inaugurated the first initiative of a music therapy workshop for children with cancer in cooperation with the Ministry of Health, and with funding from the German Embassy in Tunis. The workshop’s supervisors said that international scientific research has confirmed the effectiveness of this complementary treatment for children. This sort of therapy is used to accompany children during painful physical therapy sessions to boost their mental health and assist them in overcoming this phase because research has shown that music activates the hormone of happiness in the brain.
