Palestine – The sixth session of the Jerusalem Film Festival in Gaza concludes

227

The sixth session of the Jerusalem International Film Festival concluded in Gaza, with the participation of 23 Arab and international countries, presenting 102 short, documentary, and long fiction films. The films at the festival carried humanitarian, social, and patriotic values, and discussed women, children, and fathers’ bond with their children, and other topics, with a focus on highlighting social concerns. The festival takes on added significance amid the siege imposed on the Strip, as Palestinian artists had previously participated in international festivals with their films, but they were unable to travel and keep up with these events. The best film award at the festival went to the Lebanese film “Good Morning”, which discusses the challenges in Lebanese society.
