Palestine – Gazan artist continues in his hobby for 60 years

For sixty years, the Gazan 84-year-old artist, Muhammad al-Astal, has been representing the ancient life in his paintings that fascinate visitors and transfer them to the ancient rural life, he painted over 450 paintings, converting his home into a museum and picture gallery. The artist is looking forward to conveying key messages to the visitors of his gallery, such as portraying the Palestinian identity and legacy, as well as the instruments used during those times. In 1961 Al-Astal opened a gallery in Khan Yunis, and then in 1970, had launched an Arts Studio for drawing and painting in Kuwait, later on in Michigan, he created 50 murals in several institutions, in addition to holding 8 galleries in Ohio and Chicago.
