Turkey –Syrian refugee overcomes her financial issues with home cooking for customers

Marwa Al-Sheikh, a Syrian refugee in Istanbul, Turkish, due to the suspension of business in Turkey during Covid, started her own business to support her husband cope with life’s circumstances, two months ago, without capital. She started cooking meals for relatives and friends at first, and then expanded towards new customers where some of them come and receive their order from her house, while the husband helped in delivering the order for others until Marwa contracted with a delivery company, which gave her a good reputation, confidence, and motivation to move towards her goal of renting a bigger place to serve as her restaurant.
