Yemen – difficult terrain and royalties drive up the prices of oil in Taiz


People of Taiz, southwest of Yemen, complain about the high prices of oil, as the price of a 20-liter tank of oil has reached 14,000 Yemeni riyals (about 20 dollars), while the war and siege imposed on the city have led to the increase in its prices, as well as the difficult terrains. Gas stations opened a day after the strike, due to the difficult terrains in Hajeet al-Abd linking Taiz and Aden, as the cost of taking secondary roads incurs great losses, in addition to the security points spread on the roads that impose money on truck drivers, which increases the price of oil in the city has been sieged by the Houthis for five years.
