Palestine: As Eid Al-Fitr Approaches, Fesikh and Herringah Markets In Gaza Are Witnessing Low Demand

To mark the first day of Eid al-Fitr, families in Gaza serve Fesikh and Herringah (Kipper) dishes for their breakfast. However, this traditional celebratory dish is no longer demanded like before. Alaa Al-Rahhal, a Herringah factory owner, indicated that he fears large amounts of fish will be wasted, given the poor economic conditions that engulfed the region after the outbreak of Coronavirus. To scale up his sales, Al-Rahaal added a free delivery service
