Palestine: As Eid Al-Fitr Approaches, Fesikh and Herringah Markets In Gaza Are Witnessing Low Demand
To mark the first day of Eid al-Fitr, families in Gaza serve Fesikh and Herringah (Kipper) dishes for their breakfast. However, this traditional celebratory dish is no longer demanded like before. Alaa Al-Rahhal, a Herringah factory owner, indicated that he fears large amounts of fish will be wasted, given the poor economic conditions that engulfed the region after the outbreak of Coronavirus.
