Palestine: In Gaza, A young Artist Utilizes Sardine Cans To Depict Gaza’s Families Agony
Amid unbearable siege and with high population density, artist Muhammad Jahlash was inspired to craft art pieces and sculptures by using sardine cans. By doing so, he reflects the agony that Palestinian refugees endure under the hermetic siege. He illustrated that those sardine cans resemble Gaza’s reality; the can is closed from all its sides and the same applies to Gaza. In crafting 200 cans, he depicted in each sardine can a tale of a Palestinian family, reflecting health, cultural and social stalled issues
