Tunisia- “Free Destourian” protests return in front of the headquarters of Muslim scholars in Tunis
Clashes between the supporters of the Free Destourian Party and the supporters of the Dignity Coalition and the Ennahda Movement have been renewed in front of the headquarters of the International Union of Muslim Scholars, on Wednesday, in the Tunisian capital. The supporters of the Free Destourian Party headed by its president, Abeer Moussa, returned to the protest in front of the headquarters after the police dispersed them last Tuesday evening. All were expelled from the sit-in tent, while the party’s head, Abeer Moussa, stayed in the same place. She accused the security forces of using tear gas and violently assaulting their supporters, stressing that the party’s supporters held a sit-in for months in the same place calling for the termination of its activities and accusing its officials of supporting terrorism and organizing ideological courses that promote violence and extremism and serve radical religious currents.
