The Tunisian parliament has been characterized lately by ideological differences that fanned name-calling and physical abuse. This phenomenon would adversely reflect on the community’s mentality that helped in making these people become members of the parliament, not to mention that these incidents hurdle passing any laws. A former deputy in the Tunisian Parliament, Essam Al-Shabi clarified that the physical abuse that was fueled by ideological differences is totally rejected. To realize democracy, all these differences should be settled and tolerance should be the norm. the Founder and President of the Center of the Study of Islam, Radwan Masmoudi underlined the necessity of having policemen in the parliament to put an end to the ongoing violence
