Tunisia –Pottery in Nebeul, an eternal heritage

Nabeul, northeastern Tunisia, is called The capital of pottery because it is famous for its pottery making, as this craft is inherited by families. The craftsman sits behind a table, on its top, there is a circular wheel, which is the main instrument in the art of pottery making, over which the clay is placed in molds, then the craftsman begins to rotate the wheel with his leg and form the clay with his hands lightly and gracefully. Moments later, the shape of the pot to be made begins to appear. Tunisians and foreigners tend to demand pottery pots because of their health benefits as pottery help food to be cooked well and maintain the heat for a long time.
