Syria – Complaints of curfew worsen the conditions of people in Raqqa

Citizens of Raqqa have complained about their hardship in securing their basic needs due to the curfew imposed by the Kurdish “Self-Administration”, northern and eastern Syria. The closure resulted in a loss in their sources of income as most people work on a daily wage basis. The Health committee considers failure to follow the social distancing and instructions of protection from the virus caused the virus to outbreaks and increase the death tolls, which led the crisis management to impose a complete closure in the city for ten days.
