Palestine: A March to Denounce the 103rd Anniversary of the Balfour Declaration

Tens of Palestinians took part in a march heading to Al-Bireh toward Beit El (DCO) Israeli military checkpoint, to mark the 103rd anniversary of the issuance of the Balfour Declaration.  The march was organized by the national forces and public activists. Participants raised banners condemning Balfour Declaration, and the “Peace to Prosperity”(Trump peace plan) which participants then dubbed as ” Trump’s promise”. They also demanded to overturn Trump’s peace plan and halt all annexation projects along with Israeli normalization agreements while confirming Palestinian entrenched rights. The Balfour Declaration is the common name for the letter sent by Britain’s foreign secretary Arthur James Balfour to Lord Rothschild, head of the Zionist Federation on November 2, 1917, announcing the British government support for the establishment of a “national home for the Jewish people” in Palestine
