Tunisia: “Bill on the Protection of Internal Security Forces and Customs” Stirs Controversy among the Public

Repression of attacks against armed forces” bill has stirred controversy among the public since it was s first proposed by the government to parliament in April 2015. People have then launched a campaign against this bill, which fundamentally threatens the human rights gains of the revolution. Some deem this bill as necessary but with some amendments that would secure the citizen and the security forces’ rights at the same time. However, the Parliament is still considering the bill
