Bahrain – Demands to withdraw Russia and China’s objection to the proposal of extending the embargo on Iran

Russia and China have expressed their opposition to a U.S. proposal discussed at a UN Security Council meeting on Wednesday, which included extending Iran’s arms embargo indefinitely starting from October which is when the council’s current embargo on Tehran is scheduled to expire, analysts pointed to the danger of lifting the embargo as it would bring more instability in the region if Iran became allowed to buy weapons, demanding that Russia and China pay attention to Iranian threats in the sea lanes and funding to terrorist groups before deciding to object.
