Bahrain – The Iranian regime tries to polish its image domestically and internationally through American protests
Manama – Bahrain 08/06/2020
Iranian leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei’s comments on the administration’s handling of popular protests after the killing of George Floyd by a security officer there sparked widespread human rights criticism as Iran faces numerous human rights charges. Observers considered that the Iranian regime has no right to criticize any violence towards the people, especially since it has a long history of repression and violation of rights and freedoms against its people, pointing out that Khamenei’s recent comments and criticisms are part of the regime’s continued attempts to distract the world from the regime’s internal and foreign crimes as they described.
