Palestine- Gaza bids farewell to former Secretary-General of Islamic Jihad at a parade

Tens of thousands of Palestinian citizens took part in a mass march that began Sunday from the Omari Grand Mosque in central Gaza City to the Al-Katiba square west of the city, where the Islamic Jihad held a great condolence house for its late Secretary General Dr. Ramadan Abdullah Shallah, who died in Beirut on Saturday after a long conflict with the disease, hundreds of fighters from the Al-Quds Brigades, the military wing of The Islamic Jihad movement have participated in the march in addition to the leaders of the movement with the broad participation of the factions, led by Fatah and Hamas. The former secretary general and pictures of the leader of the Jerusalem Brigades, the martyr Bahaa Abu al-Atta, in addition to the current secretary general Ziad al-Nakhla. He was one of the founders of The Islamic Jihad, and served as secretary-general of the movement in 1995 after the assassination of First Secretary-General Fathi Shakaki at the hands of Israeli intelligence, and continued in his position as secretary-general of the movement until 2018, where he left the post after illness, to the elected deputy Ziad Al-Nakhala as secretary-general of the movement.
