Iraq – Protesters burn the house of the governor of Najaf

A number of angry protesters set fire to the home of Najaf Governor Louay al-Yasiri after violent clashes between security forces and protesters near the governor’s house in Najaf, south of Baghdad, as they were protesting against widespread corruption in the province, exploiting the local government’s capabilities and favoritism in distributing its investment resources to those close to them without paying attention to improving the living conditions of citizens.
