Palestine – Precautionary measures in Gaza after the discovery of the first two cases of Coronavirus

After the first two cases of Coronavirus infection were confirmed in the Gaza Strip on Saturday evening, of two citizens returning from Pakistan through Egypt and quarantined at the Rafah border crossing, the Palestinian government in the Gaza Strip announced the suspension of Friday prayers in mosques and the closure of shops, schools, public markets and wedding halls in the Gaza Strip for two weeks as a precautionary measure to counter the threat of the outbreak of the virus, the Ministry of Health assured citizens that these cases did not socially mix with any passengers pointing out that no cases had been reported inside the Gaza Strip so far.
