Following the statement of Syrian Deputy Foreign Minister Faisal Mekdad, that the project of democratic self-administration in northeastern Syria and the separation of the Kurds at the expense of the land and the people of Syria is an American plan and a red line that cannot be allowed since its a taboo, the self-administration described these statements as hindering attempts to conduct a dialogue between the two sides, because of the regime’s intransigence and its desire to ignore change in Syria, despite the self-administration’s repeated assertion that it is ready for a dialogue that serves the future of the Syrian national solution, insisting that the self-administration is a national project that does not threaten the unity of Syria and its people.
