Iraq – A number of casualties during clashes between security forces and protesters in Al-Khalani

Central Baghdad – Iraq 16/02/2020

A number of demonstrators were injured today after security forces fired tear gas and hunting rifles to disperse the demonstrators in Al-Khalani Square in the center of Baghdad, as mass student demonstrations began in Baghdad and a number of cities in the south, renewing its refusal to mandate Mohammed Allawi to form the government, and some Provincial tribes supported protesters in Baghdad’s Tahrir Square, confirming that they will continue to march in the sit-in until their demands are met.
