Tunisia: Al Nahda movement 10th conference.
The activities of the tenth conference of Ennahda movement were launched in the Tunisian capital in the presence of Tunisian President Baji Qaid Essebsi. The conference represents a defining milestone in the march of the Tunisian Ennahda Movement, the Movement announced during the conference the transformation into a civilian party.
In the presence of Tunisian President Baji Qaid Essebsi and thousands of supporters of Ennahda Movement, the activities of the tenth conference of the movement were launched in the Tunisian capital, Tunis, where the conference represents a defining milestone in the march of Ennahda Movement, the Movement announced during the conference the transformation into a civilian party.
The activities of the conference continue for three days during which a range of issues will be discussed, most notably the issue of the movement’s path since its inception until now. 1,200 participants will also discuss the issue of the separation between the political work and the advocacy work within the movement.
It is worth to mention that Ennahda Movement is formerly known as the Islamic Tendency Movement, which was officially announced in June 6, 1981 even though it was founded in 1972 AD.
