The year 2019 is considered the worst economic in the Gaza Strip, during which the unemployment rate rose to 46%, or about 274 thousand unemployed, according to statistics published by the Palestinian Central Authority and the Palestinian Monetary Authority, that attributed the reasons for this to the closure of more than 520 factories in the sector, and in the same context the people of the Gaza Strip complained of the stagnation of economic conditions and the decline in income levels and the productive process, in addition to the continued daily closure of commercial stores, institutions and companies because of their inability to continue to work due to the Israeli blockade imposed on the strip.
