Palestine- Palestinian authority refuses US acknowledgment for Israeli settlements

 The Palestinian Authority considered the US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo’s acknowledgment of the legitimacy of the Israeli settlements in the West Bank as a disregard for the international legitimacy and its resolutions, showing that this acknowledgment is a war crime and a clear coup by the administration of President Donald Trump on the previous American governments and the international system, the authority also confirmed its political, diplomatic movements, and at the level of international law-related institutions with an aim to hold American officials accountable for what they considered to be an infringement on the rights of the Palestinian people.
