Somalia – The organization of ‘Ahl al-Sunnah wal Jamaah’ handing over its forces to the Somali government

The organization of Ahl al-Sunna wa al-Jamaa’ah handed over its forces to the Somali government during a ceremony in the city of Dhuusamareeb in central Somalia, where Somali Prime Minister Hassan, Ali Khairi, announced the start of the measures to include these forces in the government forces. The organization is known to be pro-government and participated in the Somali civil war against radical Islamist groups from al-Qaeda-affiliated organizations such as al-Shabab movement and the Islamic Courts Union.
