Somalia: Al Shabab movement is more powerful than ever before

Experts indicated that Al Shabab movement is more powerful than ever before, as it reaps taxes from state-control centers to boot its economy and to finance its military power. Military operations on Al Shabab movement aren’t the solution, but social dialogue that would address the violence motives is way better. Not to mention that these operations are killing and injuring many civilians.  Al Shabab movement by itself isn’t the problem. Hatred, lack of confidence in the government, and intolerance are the major problems. Therefore, these issues should be all tackled. Otherwise, different groups with same ideology will soon emerge.
