United States – Maduro supporters occupy the Venezuelan embassy in Washington to protect it

A number of the Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro’s supporters have been occupying the Venezuelan embassy in Washington, DC, for over two weeks in order to protect the embassy from being taken over by the supporters of the US- backed opposition leader Juan Guaido. The US authorities said that they are ready to evict these Venezuelans from their country’s embassy in Washington, on condition that that the opposition leader Juan Guido, who declared himself as acting president, submits an official request.
