Somalia – Somali forces continue security operations to prevent bombings and assassinations

Somali forces continue security operations in capital Mogadishu and its outlying districts to prevent bombings and assassinations committed by al-Shabaab extremist group. This should contribute in achieving security and stability in the capital. Although the government declared that its security operations are starting to produce results, analysts believe current security measures are in need of reviewing as they could not prevent attacks and assassinations completely.
