Iraq – Iraqis launch a voluntary initiative entitled “I am Iraqi, I read”

A group of young Iraqi volunteers launched an initiative called “I am Iraqi, I read” at Abu Nuwas Gardens in the capital Baghdad, in order to create a more developed relationship between the reader and the book, and encourage young people to read. As stated by the organizers, some of the books are collected from big libraries and exhibitions, and the rest are either gifts from donors and intellectuals, or contributions from citizens, which they give to readers free of charge by presenting them around the garden.
