Somalia – Deteriorating humanitarian conditions of displaced people in Mogadishu Afis Camp

Displaced people in “Afis” camp in Garasbaaleey region of capital Mogadishu are suffering from difficult humanitarian conditions as a result of the deteriorating health conditions, lack of specialized medical expertise, as well as scarcity of medications, medical supplies and water. The camp that is sheltering thousands of poor families in camps that do not protect against summer heat or winter cold is located in a rugged desert climate. This has resulted in disease prevalence across the camp. Displaced people ask concerned parties and international organizations to provide the necessary relief aid and basic needs for the camp.
