Syria – People of Qamishli celebrate Nowruz

People in the north of Syria are setting up different events and activities to mark the Nawruz Holiday and the Kurdish New Year, which falls on March 21st every year. Thousands of Qamishli people went out to celebrate this day, which is an important holiday for the Kurds of Syria, and this year they celebrate it in conjunction with the SDF’s victory over ISIS in their the last pocket east of the Euphrates.
